New Year

July 1 signals the start of a new Rotary year. Our club welcomes a new president for the upcoming year, Jean-Louis Guillas. Watch for more details on this year's club activities. One of the main activities our club will be involved with this year is hosting the 2011 District 5550 Conference in Dauphin July 9-12, 2011.

This Tuesday, April 13 is our club's next evening assembly. Topics for discussion and fun include:

• Presentation by our Exchange Student, Bernardo on Brazil
• District Conference planning update
• Lobsterfest Update

Sorry for the break everyone. I seemed to have encountered technical problems with this technology...
2010 seems to be a crazy busy year for our club so far. We kicked off the year with our club's major fundraising project - a lottery to raise money for our $50k contribution to our community's new movie theatre. The early bird draw took place Feb 7, a day after our club's annual dinner.
Upcoming activities include a couple of speakers at our noon meetings:

• March 2 - reps from Dauphin's Countryfest
• March 9 - reps from Destination Dauphin

Other key dates to keep in mind and watch for updates:

• Book Fair March 17-21
• Club assembly April 13 with presentation and food from our Brazilian exchange student, Bernardo
• May 10-13 - our club will be hosting the GSE team from England
• May 13-16 - District Conference in Wpg
• end of may - Radio Days
• June 18 - Lobsterfest
